Close to the Rivière l'Assomption in Joliette, the PAX Habitat seniors' residence rises from the heart of a garden created by the Nuns. The residence offers 60 units for independent seniors, including studios as well as 3 ½- and 4 ½-room apartments, plus 32 rooms offering quality health care and assistance tailored to the needs of residents requiring special care.

The project's creators are committed to preserving the environment, and therefore chose to design a green building. The building is distinguished by its high energy efficiency and the choice of environmentally-friendly interior materials.

The space between the residence and the monastery is carefully landscaped. It features numerous mature trees, walking paths and attractive landscaping. The initiators of the project have taken great care to preserve the beauty of the site as well as its biodiversity. It should be noted that the residence will be LEED-certified, demonstrating its commitment to the environment and sustainable development.
